House Crush N°—74

This charming home is new!

Did you ever see a house that looked so charming and the additions looked so flawless—and then you found it it was new and planned that way.. This lovely House Crush is just such a home…stunning, ageless and lived in. I can just imagine holidays and family celebrations all happening under these carefully thought out roof lines. There seems to be a ‘wing’ for every member in the family. Grown children over the garage, parents in the middle and grandparents in the Dutch colonial wing to the right. The little ones would all enjoy a sleepover in the single level connector to the main house. Imagine what you want your home to be and make it happen. Start that paint job, hang that wallpaper and have the cushions covered for a whole new look. Get your home ready for all of the fun gatherings this Spring and Summer—I just sent the cushions out to be recovered and I am measuring for wallpaper soon. Now, if the picture and mirror hanger comes soon we are on a roll.

A Dutch Colonial roof always makes me smile.

I love how the illusion of additions is embraced—what is that one out back?

The garage and connectior look like the ‘original’ part of the home.

This wing that connects to the main house is so charming.

Welcome to the entry garden.

The boxwoods are doing great here.

The Dutch roof is used on the right side of the home to add symmetry..
