Dearest Friends,

Today, we bring you news we never imagined having to share. Our beloved Lissy Parker—whose laughter, kindness, and endless love of beauty brightened every corner of this blog—passed away on May 20, 2025, after a brief illness.

Though our hearts are heavy, we know Lissy wouldn’t want us to linger too long in sadness. She always believed in looking for the sparkle, even on cloudy days. And so, in that spirit, we want to celebrate her life, her eye for charm, and her generous heart that touched so many of you. 

The blog, lissyparker.com, will remain open and active through February 2026, so you can revisit your favorite posts, including House Tours, “House Crushes,” Gardens… whenever you like. Lissy’s goal was always simple and full of love: to share beauty and joy in the hope that each post might encourage you to create your own unique style at home—a place that truly feels like you.

We, her support team, are deeply saddened to say goodbye to her daily inspiration and cheerful texts full of new ideas. Yet we are so grateful for the wonderful community she built and all of you who have been part of it.

As a parting gift from Lissy, below you’ll find the special drop caps she had custom designed by graphic artist Luisa Lafitte (https://luizalaffitte.com/projets)—little jewels that can continue to bring you delight, long after her blog. Perhaps you will use them for drop caps, but maybe you will take a letter and make a mug, or a tote bag or a needle point pillow just for you!

Thank you, dear friends, for following along on this beautiful journey. Lissy would want nothing more than for each of you to keep finding and spreading beauty wherever you go.
